Cooking Made Optional

Starting with breakfast

Order the night before. Freshly prepared each morning. Pick up on your commute. Healthy by default. Made to be enjoyed.

No grocery shopping. No cooking. No cleanup.

How it works

Order the night before

Choose your breakfast by the night before.

Freshly prepared each morning

Your breakfast is prepared the same morning in a nearby commercial kitchen using fresh ingredients.

Pick up on your commute

We'll hand it over at a convenient pickup location, without going out of your way.

For example: right after getting off Caltrain, on the way to your workplace, or on the way to school drop-off.

Healthy by default

Every meal includes nutritional information, so you know exactly what you're eating.

Made to be enjoyed

Healthy food shouldn't mean giving up great taste.

Why I'm doing this

I don't believe everyone having to cook for themselves is the right model.

When something is wrong with our body, we don't study medicine and treat ourselves. We rely on people who have the expertise. So why should eating healthy require everyone to understand nutrition, plan meals, buy ingredients, cook, and clean up every day?

People should be able to eat healthy without having to do all of that themselves.

That's why I'm building Cooking Made Optional.

Taking it a step further, homes shouldn't need kitchens. When people want to cook, they could reserve a slot at a nearby shared kitchen.

Imagine the benefits of homes without kitchens: lower housing costs, less maintenance, and fewer resources used.
